5th Annual Hawaii’s World Heritage Festival
Friday • August 15, 2008 • 3 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Mo`oheau Bandstand & Park, Downtown Hilo

The historic Mo`oheau Bandstand & Park are the sites for this celebration of Hawaii’s tapestry of people. Two stages showcase the cultures of the people who over the centuries have made Hawaii their homes through fashion, performances, storytelling, demonstrations, and more. “World Bazaar & Marketplace” features arts, crafts and products as well as a food court to suit almost all tastes. 8th Annual Black & White Night
Friday • November 7, 2008 • 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Downtown Hilo

Downtown Hilo’s biggest strolling party with multiple free live jazz music venues, stores offering free food samples, author and artist receptions, and more from one end of town to the other. Thousands of people come dressed in black and white, some dress up, some dress down but everyone dresses for the occasion. [more information]
